Experienced Fun Cup racer Guy Wenham will be returning to the championship in 2017, featuring in the 209 Eco Solutions Racing car. Wenham will be filling in for an injured Tom Mills, who will be out all season.
The 19 year old is set to take part in his fourth consecutive year in the championship, with the title set firmly in his sights. For the previous three years he has raced alongside ex British GT GT4 runner up, and sister, Zoe Wenham, with a mixture of drivers filling the third seat.
Guy said: “Zoe has decided to take a year out of racing this season. She will be there supporting and cheering me on and will jump in a seat if she gets the opportunity.”
He added: “I’m really excited for the season to start, as I feel like I am going to have a great team around me in Solutions, but also having drivers like Zoe and Tom sitting on the sidelines and offering advice will really help me settle. I feel that the team and driver line-up is very strong and we have what it takes to put a title challenge together this year.”
In the three previous seasons Guy has finished runner-up, 4th and 17th in the championship and he is aiming for the title this year.
