262 – Northern Velocity

Team History

The team originally ran with and under the AK Motorsport name since 2015 racing Mazda Mx5s. Jack Harding joined this team in 2016 and raced alongside Alan Henderson who had won the Mx5 Supercup Championship the previous year. Alan Henderson moved over to racing in the Club enduro championship having many years of successful races taking poles, fastest laps, podiums and wins, whilst still working with AK Motorsport to build the team which continued supporting Jack in the MX5s and also expanding the team to racing Ginetta supercup. AK motorsport which was run by Alan Henderson and Daniel Irving continued to support Jack whilst he was racing in MX5s and Civic Cup where they all became good friends. Jack with the help of these two people took podiums and wins in his 2 shortened seasons in the Civic Cup but most notably went on to finishing in the top 3 in the Mx5 Supercup championship 5 times scoring 95 podiums and 32 wins more than anybody else in the championship history. Now marking the 10th year in 2026 since Jack joined forces with Alan and Daniel, they wanted to start a new challenge with a new team name. With the winning mindset, ability to learn fast, to adapt and with some experienced drivers, they hope to have some fun and mix it at the sharp end! Introducing Northern Velocity!
