After undergoing a lengthy due diligence process, the BRSCC have today made the decision to postpone our race meetings which were due to take place at Cadwell Park and Snetterton Circuit over the weekend of 10 th & 11 th April.
The club have made this decision only after careful consideration of all information and interpretations available to us, these including but not limited to: Pre-12 th April Government rules related to overnight stays away from home and minimising travel.
Listening to the views of our members and commercial partners, some of whom have already informed us of their decision not to participate at these race meetings.
The non-availability of ARDS testing between 3 rd March and 12 th April, this directly affecting numerous new BRSCC members / competitors.
Uncertainties raised to us regarding the availability of marshals, race admin staff and event volunteers.
The BRSCC are a racing club and racing is our life blood, however the club believe that this difficult decision has been made in the best interests of our members, commercial partners, staff and volunteers.
The Club are currently working to reschedule race championships and series as necessary, and further announcements will be made on these matters as soon as possible.
BRSCC Chairman Peter Daly passes on this message, “Although we understand that this may not be a popular announcement in some quarters, this was a difficult decision to reach and involved the collation of information from all stakeholders associated with our race meetings. We are fully aware of the information that has been released by numerous sources regarding the running of pre-April 12 th race meetings, but our members and customers were not unanimous in supporting these events. Other challenges also became apparent, such as the non-availability of ARDS testing for new drivers, something that will impact not only those drivers but our championships for the whole season.”
