Six new teams join the Fun Cup Endurance Championship for 2024

As we look forward to the start of our 2024 season at Oulton Park, we can’t wait for our 6 new teams to get out on the circuit and see what all the fuss is about!

Lets introduce the teams:-

195 Morpheus Racing

The 195 car was driven by Ted Bradbury, Mikey Porter and Reza Seewooruthun to a 1st & 2nd in the final two races at Oulton Park. Ted is now teaming up with experienced Fun Cup racer Neil ‘Sparky’ Burroughs with one goal in mind, the overall Fun Cup Championship.

If you’ve seen our social media posts recently then you’ll know this is going to be one good looking Fun Cup car! Drivers Jac Constable and team owner Russell Joyce come with plenty of experience from racing TCR’s. They’ve been busy testing since the start of the year and are looking forward to battling it out with the other teams on the circuit, with Russell Joyce commenting:

“Thrilled to announce that I’ll be competing in the Fun Cup Endurance Championship alongside Jac Constable and the incredible Skull Club Racing team! Huge shoutout to the talented folks at Joyce Design for the amazing livery. Lets hit the track and make some memories!”

Car 195 Morpheus Racing

The 195 car was driven by Ted Bradbury, Mikey Porter and Reza Seewooruthun to a 1st & 2nd in the final two races at Oulton Park in 2023. Ted is now teaming up with experienced Fun Cup racer Neil ‘Sparky’ Burroughs with one goal in mind, the overall Fun Cup Championship. These guys will be true title contenders and will be pushing all the way for the top step at each and every race weekend!

Car 200 Red River Sport

The 200 car is of Red River Sport is a fully refurbed car bought by the team over winter.

The car will be driven by expert driver Johnny Mowlem and Gareth Williams. Gareth did his first ever season of racing in 2023 and under Johnny’s tutelage he progressed well through the year. In 2024, the team will no doubt have aspirations of some silverware at some point in the season; especially as they now qualify for the Masters Championship too!

Car 220 (Team Name TBC)

The fully refurbished 220 car has been bought by a new team to the championship. Barry Thompson will be racing with his son Lewis Thompson and friend Nick Highton.
The 220 team cannot make the first couple of rounds but will be doing most of the season before competing for the full season in 2025. All 3 drivers have experience in Caterhams, and with Lewis having won one of the Caterham championships in 2023, this could be a team to watch!

Car 157 GMR/ECO

Car 157 is being raced by Gracie Mitchell with her teammate TBA. Gracie graduated from racing karts in 2023 and raced Fun Cup at our final race of the season at the Oulton Park double header. Gracie is keen to gain seat time and has been out testing with Marcus Clutton and Sarah Moore in preseason to get some added experience under her belt before the season begins.

Car 207 - Wave 9

The fully refurbished 207 car has been purchased by the Wave 9 team for the 2024 season. (New Wrap Pending!)

Wave 9 are no strangers to Fun Cup, with drivers Mark Burton and Graham Pattle previously being Fun Cup regulars before dabbling with historic race cars before making a come back to the championship for 2024. Excited to compete in long distance racing once more, Wave 9 will be battling it out in both the main championship as well as the Masters championship.

Welcome back guys!
