Fun Cup is delighted to welcome new team PT Motorsport to the 2018 championship.

The Ginetta & Catherham race team has purchased car 61, with drivers Paul Voakes & Ian Payne at the wheel. Whilst Voakes is new to motorsport, Payne has a great deal of experience.

Ian Payne, said: “I have been interested in Fun Cup for some years & have always followed the championship with interest, as it is so hotly contested. The driving standards, level of professionalism & friendly welcome (so far!) has meant it has been on my bucket list as a driver.”

He added: “This has been made much more interesting by the fact that my business, PT Motorsport, will be running the car. I am looking forward to the opening race with Paul and working our way up the grid.”

Novice racer, Paul Voakes, said: “I have watched Fun Cup for a number of years, but had no intention of having a go. Last year PT Motorsport & Ian persuaded me to go racing & Fun Cup could be the only choice. Unfortunately, PT Motorsport have prepared the car so well I will be struggling for excuses!”
