Fun Cup has, today, announced exciting new plans to introduce a Masters podium, within the current super successful format.

The one-make endurance championship, which saw its UK inception in 2002 and has since gone on to huge success, will remove its ‘Team of the Day” award for 2020 and instead run a Masters category.

The rules are simple; if you have a driver in your team aged 55 or over, you will automatically be in the running. Whoever crosses the line first from this category, will be awarded a P1 Masters trophy, after each event.

Championship Director, Paul Rose, said: “We are really excited about the addition of the Masters trophy. There is such a diverse range of drivers in Fun Cup, with some super fast experienced young racers. It truly is so difficult to run at the top end. The races are hard; the competition is so strong.”

He added: “This new Masters category is a great chance for those at a slight disadvantage to gain some recognition, in what is a super challenging fight every race.”

The championship kicks off with round one, at Oulton Park, on the 28th March.
