Brands 2018 1805 scaled 2

Fun Cup looks destined for one of its strongest seasons to date, with yet more teams confirming their participation in this year’s championship.

Novice’s Morgan Tillbrook & Jonathan Currie will be competing in the JPR 99 car, for their first ever season of racing; welcome to the championship!

New team, 107 If Motorsport, will be run by Bryce Wilson, with drivers Allan Dallas & Andrew Dunn.

Greensall Motorsport will return with Ryan & Paul Lewis in their 125 car; the pair competed in 3 Fun Cup races last year. Greensall’s 248, CCS Media car, will see the return of Fun Cup regulars Nigel Greenall, Alan Honarmand, Bob Tomlinson & Ciro Carannante.

Long time Fun Cup racers Colin Kingsnorth, Julian Bricknell & Richard Webb will also return for their 6th season, in the Trumans’ team.

Meanwhile, regular front-runners & championship contenders, Farquini Deott & Fabio Randaccio will pair up for their second season as a duo, in their 225 JPR UVio car.

Racelogic were back on the top step last year, after a run of bad luck; the successful trio of Jon Tomlinson, David Denyer & Julian Thomas will compete in the Brands Hatch season opener, plus a few other rounds.

Fun Cup sponsors, GITI, will also make a come back in the JPR GITI Radical car, with experienced racers, Martin Gibson & Ellis Hadley at the helm; combined with some guest drivers.

Paul Abraham will also return in the 209, Eco Racing car, after sitting 2018 out. He will compete with experienced karter, Rory Elliot & old team-mate, Tom Mills.

After missing last season, due to work commitments, 246 Concorde Motorsport’s Will Chappell & Andrew Clarkson, will take part in their first ever Fun Cup races.

Race Co-ordinator, Roxie Marandi, said: “Fun Cup ticks all of the boxes: full & super competitive grids, with great banter off-track; one make-cars; TV coverage; pit garages & huge amounts of seat time. We visit some great tracks too! Added to this, every race can see a different team win. The championship is anyone’s this year. We can’t wait to go racing!”

Round one kicks off with a 4 hour race at Brands Hatch, on the 23rd March & can be viewed on Sky Sports TV, plus our YouTube channel.

Bring it on!
