DespatchBay.com Press Release Pic 2019
Front running Fun Cup team, 221 DespatchBay.com, has confirmed their new & exciting 2019 driver line-up of Andy Bicknell & Riley Phillips, with Marcus Clutton & Harry Mailer completing the team at each event; where Clutton is absent due to British GT commitments, Mailer will step in.

The team will be run by TheTrack.Life, a new and vibrant support team with a wealth of Fun Cup experience. TheTrack.Life will also be running 171 Agua Caliante & 207, as a hire car.

DespatchBay.com suffered some bad luck last season, forcing them to retire from several races, though they consistently held their ground at the front of the pack; setting two of the fastest race laps.

Whilst Bicknell, Clutton & Mailer are all experienced Fun Cup racers, 16 year old Phillips will be joining the team having only ever competed in a handful of races. The ex-karter showed great pace & maturity at a pre-season test in February, which greatly impressed the team & so, they made plans to join forces & contest the 2019 championship.

Andy Bicknell said: “It’s a strong line up, having raced with Marcus and Harry before, we should be at the pointy end. Riley is a young hotshot, he’s keen to learn and has shown great pace last year in the few rounds he did & with myself during testing.”

He added: “The car has had a tremendous amount of work on it over the winter & is looking sharp, albeit a bit pink, so hopefully any reliability gremlins have been ousted. We can’t wait for the season to start”.

Round one at Brands Hatch will see a line-up of Bicknell, Phillips & Clutton, where the team has high hopes of ending their run of bad luck & gaining some silverware.
