Driver and team development crucial to long term plans for UK Fun Cup team.

Apollo Motorsport is excited to announce that Base Performance Simulators will be their simulation partner for 2017. Driver development is a key part of their programme for 2017 and beyond, as they work hard to expand their operations into GT racing. This partnership will allow them to allocate 12 hours of simulator time to each of their cars across the season, at no additional cost to the drivers, with options to increase this as required. The partnership will also mean their sponsors will benefit from the corporate events that BPS run across their GT and single seater Sims.

Joint team owner Ian Collings, said: We are so excited about this partnership, BPS is the best in the business and we are really looking forward to working with them. It’s a huge thing for us to be able to offer all our drivers and sponsors sim time as part of their standard packages, it really helps put Apollo and the Fun Cup championship on the map as a destination for young talent and ambitious amateur drivers who want to progress into GT racing”

Base Performance MD Ella Barrington, said: We’re delighted to become simulation partner to Apollo Motorsport for 2017. Their decision to work with an organization like BPS proves how serious they are about winning, and also showcases the wide range of circuits and vehicles that we can provide on our state-of-the-art simulators.”

BPS is an industry leader in race car simulators. Headed up by endurance legend Darren Turner, they know a thing or two about how to go make you go faster. From their base in Banbury, as well as hiring out their own state of the art GT and single seater sims to teams and drivers, they also hire them for corporate events along with their large flexible space. Alongside all of all this, they build bespoke simulators for customers all over the world and develop all their car and circuit models in house. Their client list is long, distinguished and in many cases secret, with a reputation for discretion, they work with several manufacturer teams on car and driver development.
