With Roberts off to pursue his adult entertainment career, Deott has signed 2007 Bologna Lawnmower Champion, Fabio Randaccio, to uphold the honours in the UVio team’s defence of its second consecutive Fun Cup Championship title.

Deott said: “’I’m so very ‘appy to have the great Fabio join us. He beat me to the title back in ’07 & so I know he has what it takes to cut the cheese in Fun Cup.”

Since Bologna, the two racers have turned their attention to a variety of machinery and disciplines, with a collection of terrible joint race results culminating in a great many party memories.

Randaccio said: “I’m delighted to be joining Farquini Deott & JPR UVio for the 2018 Fun Cup Championship. Given the success Farquini has enjoyed over the past two years, there is a clear desire to kick back a little & enjoy the ride, which is exactly where I fit in.”

He added: “With the team motto ‘stay safe and have fun’, it is our intention to set our pace to cruise & keep the dicing for the kitchen. Of course, this isn’t the first time we have shared a cockpit, with previous adventures including a fiery DNF at Brands Hatch 1000 km & a mediocre 10th place at the Spa 25 hour race. Jesting aside, the team hopes for a hat-trick of lightning strikes & I hope to provide the potential difference.”
